TENTH GRADE TRAVELING SHLUCHOS
CAMP EMUNAH -- BNOS YAAKOV YEHUDAH
TRAVELING SHLUCHOS PROGRAM
For the interested parent:
What is this Traveling Shluchos Program all about??
Camp Emunah's Tenth Grade Traveling Shluchos Program provides an excellent, educational opportunity, combined with the ultimate in recreation.
Your daughter will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Shluchim and Shluchos in varied communities on the West Coast - large and small.
Hearing from the Shluchim and Shluchos, and their Chabad House participants, as well as spending most inspiring Shabbosos in Chabad Houses, will give your daughter insight and understanding in the great Shlichus world established by the Rebbe. The girls will get an understanding of how Shluchim connect to the Rebbe through their work. Participation in this program plants the seeds in its participants to follow in similar paths in their future lives.
In past summers, this powerful, educational experience was combined with a chance to raft, dune, sail, mountain climb, tour Mexico, visit theme parks, and much more.
Each day has its davening, learning, interaction with Shluchim, and the unique touring opportunity available in that particular city.
This is a rigorous, highly enjoyable, and exceptionally inspiring summer program.
The Camp Emunah Tenth Grade Traveling Shluchos Program is directed and led by Rebbetzin Hecht, and is coordinated and supervised by Rabbi Shaya and Goldie Gansbourg, and a superb staff of experienced, dedicated counselors.
Information For Applicants Who Are Seriously Interested In Applying To This Program.
Please note the following:
a. As noted in the previous page, this is a highly educational, and very exciting, stimulating, intense trip. It is important for applicants to know this. If you have a medical condition, or an eating disorder, or serious dietary restrictions, it will be very difficult for you to maintain our rigorous schedule.
b. Please realize that this trip was created as an educational, fun experience. It therefore has much of both of these elements in it - education and fun. One needs to be coming with the willingness, and desire, to learn and grow. If an applicant is coming just for the fun and sights of the West Coast, she may not enjoy this trip, and we discourage her from applying.
c. To participate in this program, one must be committed to be a true living example of a Bas Chabad. As we are traveling to different Shluchim and Jewish communities under the banner of Camp Emunah: "THE REBBE'S CAMP," it is vitally important that every participant is prepared to live up to that responsibility. We discourage girls from applying if they have difficulty conforming to the Halachic code of dress and refined behavior, speech, and "mentchlichkeit", or if they have trouble listening to authority.
d. If you are interested in the fascinating world of Shlichus, and want a summer where you will grow as a Chossid, and as a proud Lubavitcher, and you want to meet and interact and learn from the Shluchim and the communities they built, and at the same time, have loads of fun, this may be your opportunity! If this is the case, then we would love you to come be a participant. Do apply!
Please take the above into consideration before you apply as space is limited.
